MUSA Festival - [Jour 01] - Carcavelos 02/07/2010 Tous styles

Day one saw the presence of the energetic and ironis rock of the power duo SHIVERS. Dressed with a sexy red skirt, Igor shouted a big welcome to the MUSA audience at 9pm. Him and the half dressed drummer Arroja, enjoyed the crowd with songs about such interesting themes as peanuts for a fat boy and pubic hair on the butter. In their show they had time to give away football balls and churrasco sandwiches made by two guest cows. A true show!

ENDAY were the following act. Their contemporary rock as they like to call it, was dosed in good harmonic packages and showed they're a band on the rise. They joined about five years ago and what started to be a friends passtime went into something more serious and led them to show their work in California. Now they want to conquer their space in the rock scene with their new album.

While the following band prepared to be on stage, the Ozone tent was showing a bit of uptempo electro and led the people to jump or move their feet and head while seated. Dj luaR was on the mix.

And then came BELA NAFA. What a surprise they were. The sound of Kora echoed on the festival, people were dancing and a bit of Africa definitely took it's place in Cascais. A name to follow in the World music scene.

Before the headliners, it was time to see some theater. An impressive neon display, fireworks and sub-bass sounds. Everyone was mesmerized and it snowed in the portuguese night.

And then it came CAPLETON. They say it's the respect for nature, the vegetarianism, the no tobacco smoking. Whatever what it was, there should be a secret for the energy the deffernt frontman demonstrated on stage. It lead the crowd to a state of bliss while the good reaggae sounds hit the speakers and the band pulled out a great performance. The show ended closo to 3 am. A great kick off to the festival!
